Romantic Restaurants in New York
Published: January 16th, 2019The romance of New York is enough to make even the most apathetic persons heart skip a beat or two! Let our concierge recommend some of their top picks for a romantic evening out in New York!
One if by Land, Two if by Sea
17 Barrow Street
New York, New York
One if by Land, Two if by Sea is one of NYC’s most famous restaurants. Guests can enjoy a wide variety of food ranging from grilled octopus to individual beef wellingtons. The dining room is adorned with rich woods, exposed brick, candlelit tables, beautiful brick fireplaces and the charming sound of the baby grand piano. Interestingly enough, the restaurant operates in a land-marked carriage house that dates back to 1767 and has ties to Alexander Hamilton’s nemesis, Aaron Burr.
The River Cafe
1 Water Street
Brooklyn, New York
The River Cafe has become one of NYC’s most frequented restaurants and for good reasons! The River Cafe sits on a barge just underneath the Brooklyn Bridge and boasts one of the most stunning views of NYC! The menu features both a fixed price menu and a chefs tasting, you can also choose a wine pairing as well! To finish the perfect date night, we recommend strolling along the Brooklyn promenade and taking in the NYC skyline one last time before heading back home to Manhattan.
il Buco
47 Bond Street
New York, New York
il Buco is an upscale Mediterranean- Italian restaurant located on the cobblestone streets of NoHo. The restaurant is most famous for their handmade pasta and their notable wine selection! The rustic-italian restaurant is perfect for those who are looking for an intimate setting to enjoy quality Italian cuisine with a fine glass of wine. While their entire menu sounds delicious, but our concierge highly recommends the Tagiliatelle!
La Grenouille
3 East 52nd Street
New York, New York
Just east of Fifth Avenue is one of New York’s most notable french restaurants, La Grenouille. Fresh flowers are delivered daily, which helps create the romantic vibe Le Grenouille is so famous for. The menu offers many traditional Parisian meals, such as lobster bisques or Les cuisses de grenouille (better known as Frog legs, we promise they aren’t as bad as they sound). Le Grenouille happens to be a short walk from the Hotel Elysee!
