There’s a whole lot of New York City to discover, and with that comes a whole lot of walking.  How do you keep their attention and enthusiasm for an entire day excursion? Make it a game!

An Urban Safari isn’t nearly as fun without a giraffe tagging along.  Make sure to pick up a Gerry(or two!) at the front desk before exploring the concrete jungle so you can have fun all day finding great photo opportunities.  Even better?  Share them on social media and tag @HotelGiraffe, there’ll be a special treat waiting in your room when you come back!

Our Two Bedroom Suites are perfect for families, offering one King bed, two Queen beds, a separate living room & a full size pullout sofa.  But if you want a deal even ‘suiter’, we’ve added some quintessential NYC amenities for the whole family to snack on, including a Chocolate Pizza from Max Brenner & a Safari BarN Box from the famous Dylan’s Candy Bar.   And if you don’t need a sugar buzz, we have plenty of ‘adult-friendly’ amenities and an evening wine & cheese reception.

So where are you going to go?

There’s so much of NYC to see and accommodating everyone’s preferences can be tough… that’s where we come in.  Our concierge team has developed a map of some of the greatest places to visit in New York that will delight everyone in the family.  Want to hobnob with celebrities?  Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum is the ticket.  Want a view of the whole city? The Empire State Building is walking distance from the hotel.  Want to visit one of the coolest hipster hotspots and enjoy cereal milk?   Momofuku Milk Bar’s the place to be.   Want to see a 94 foot long whale that will give you the chills?  Take the subway to the American Museum of Natural History for an experience you’ll never forget.  The list, and our knowledge, goes on.  Contact us any time prior to your arrival or during your stay, and we’ll make sure that you get the trip you deserve.

What’s a New York City visit without an authentic Italian meal?

House made ricotta, brick oven quattro formaggi pizza, strip steak tagliata, and homemade pappardelle pasta.  Our restaurant, Bread & Tulips offers these amazing dishes and so much more. Sounds amazing, but not so child-friendly…

Did we mention that Bread & Tulips offers a Kids’ Menu as well?  While you enjoy a rustic Italian meal with a crafted cocktail or glass of wine, your children can also enjoy homemade spaghetti, cheese pizza, meatballs or burgers with fries.  Not only is Bread & Tulips convenient as it is located in Hotel Giraffe, guests of the hotel receive a 20% discount when dining in the restaurant and they offer room service if you want to stay in!
