As the weather warms up, the gardens are in bloom, which can only mean one thing- SPRING has officially SPRUNG!
Hotel Giraffe has put together a list of the most beautiful and enchanting gardens to visit while in NYC.
Brooklyn Botanic Garden

This 52-acre garden is home to the Steinhardt Conservatory, which houses plant life from three different temperate zones, as well as specialty gardens within the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Be sure to check out the the picturesque Japanese Hill and Pond Garden. The garden celebrates Japanese cherry blossoms during “Hanami”, with more than 200 trees blossoming along the garden’s Cherry Walk and Cherry Esplanade.

Take a stroll through the 74-year-old Conservatory Garden, a trio of French, Italian and English style gardens. Walking through you will see a statue dedicated to author Frances Hodgson Burnett, who wrote the classic novel The Secret Garden. You can also get tickets for the Central Park Conservancy’s Cherry Blossom Tour to learn about and see those gorgeous pink blooms!
91st Street Garden

The 91st Street Garden is one of the most colorful corners of Riverside Park (it’s also one of the park’s more famous locations, having made a cameo in the film You’ve Got Mail). For 35 years, the flowers and plants in the garden have been maintained by dedicated volunteer gardeners, known as The Garden People. The gardens bloom with an ever-changing variety of blossoms as well as hundreds of varieties of plants line the walkway. During the summer, keep an eye out for monarch and swallowtail butterflies, which are drawn to the aromatic bushes.
Fort Tryon Park Heather Garden

The garden is situated on slopes more than 200 feet above the Hudson River and offer stunning views as well. The Heather Garden’s three landscaped acres are home to trees, shrubs, and perennials. The garden also includes dozens of varieties of heaths and heathers and a changing selection of colorful annuals that look as if they were transplanted from an English country estate.
