How to Book the Ideal Bed for your Trip

Published: August 6th, 2014

We want all of our guests to have a memorable stay with the Library Hotel Collection and be thrilled by their experience. The advice we give to future guests is all thanks to the wonderful insights and thoughtful communication shared with us by our past guests, either directly or on sites like TripAdvisor. One comment that we often hear is: “I wish I had understood more fully what type of room I was selecting, before I booked.”  Well, we’re here to ensure you have all the right information to make the best choice for your stay!

If you visit our Library Hotel Collection websites, you will see that our New York City properties have worked to provide you with all the details you need to select your best room:

  • Rooms are named to fully represent their true size. We are not afraid to tell you a Petite Room is small.
  • Multiple images of every room, and based on your requests, we are adding even more images to the site in the near future.
  • A Virtual Tour – and soon we will add links to the 360 shots that were taken by Google so online visitors can “see inside”.
  • Average Square footage/ Square Meter for each room type
  • Sample diagram of each room type, but please keep in mind that there are some variances in layouts even within a room type.
  • Bed sizes including dimensions of the mattress sizes

Bed Sizes

Tip #1- If you are a couple who is used to a King sized bed at home, the King is probably the best choice for you. A Queen size bed may be comfortable for just a few days, however sharing a full sized bed for several nights might take some adjustment.

Tip #2- A full sized bed is small, but perfect for an individual traveler or a young couple who might be accustomed to a smaller bed.

Tip #3- If you are staying for several nights, the extra space will be even more important to you, so consider selecting a larger room and a larger bed for longer stays.

Tip #4- Remember of course, that Library Hotel Collection hotels are designed to offer lots of community space, particularly in our club room lounge. The size of the room may not be the most important part of your experience in the hotel.

Tip #5-When in doubt, call us, or send us an email. We would be happy to personally guide you to choosing the room type that works best for you and all your traveling companions.

Tip #6- If you are traveling with children, you might enjoy a suite with a separate living room for the kids. If you can’t find one available online when you enter the number of people, please give us a call or send us an email at service@booklhc.com. We would be glad to see if we can help you find some available options that may not be displaying online.

Tip #7- It is not just the bed size that is important so if you like an extra firm or extra soft bed, please let us know and we will do our best to adjust the bedding to your preferences. In fact, there are many ways you can customize your guest room experience, at the Library Hotel Collection.
